Shrink Wrap Equipment
There are many different types of shrink wrap equipment which can help you effectively take care of the shrink wrapping needs in your home or office. They vary in size and function and you should be able to find one that is appropriate for the amount and type of wrapping you will be doing.
L Sealers look similar to a paper cutter. They cut the film quickly before sealing it. It leaves a clean edge and you will not get a lot of smoke in the air.
If you are wrapping items frequently, you should consider what type of shrinkage system would be best. There are two main types, heat gun systems and heat tunnel systems. Heat gun systems usually make use of a straight bar sealer which also cuts the film. You would then use the heat gun to shrink the film. For a more automated system, try one with a heat tunnel. Once the wrapping is cut, it goes down a conveyor belt which runs through a tunnel that is hot enough to cause shrinkage. Heat is applied more evenly in a tunnel than it is from a gun.
If you are going to be sealing thermoplastic bags or packaging, a good choice would be an impulse sealer. They are also good for sealing polyethylene and polypropylene bags as well. If you are dealing with food, powders or liquids, you will want to seal the bags with a continuous band sealer. These can prevent the items from spilling. Vacuum sealers are also popular for home or office use. They take all the air out of a package which helps to protect your items further. You would then want to run the package through a heat tunnel.
Of course, each of these types of machine has several models which can be tailored to your particular needs. Shrink wrap machines are available in small sizes to accommodate someone who only uses the machine occasionally during their workday. They also come in very large sizes for those who want an automated system which can quickly shrink wrap packages. Whatever your packaging needs are, you should be able to find something that will work well in your home or office.
